VFW auxiliary donates to veterans hospital

Dec. 17--TURBOTVILLE -- The Turbotville VFW 8206 Auxiliary donated items requested by the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center for its residents.

Club members purchased stockings, puzzle books, CDs, coloring books, crayons and individually-wrapped snacks and candy for the military veterans.

The money used to buy the items was raised by the auxiliary through fund-raising events such as bake-good and red poppy sales to support programs benefitting military veterans.
