Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center is a non-profit organization with a brick and mortar location directly serving veterans of all eras, transitioning military and their families. With over 40 community partners, they provide immediate assistance with employment and transition, behavioral health and wellness, supportive services, and more. Mt. Carmel houses multiple organizations under a single roof to include the El Paso County Veterans Services Office, the Pikes Peak Workforce Center satellite office, the USO, Leaderquest, Healing Waters, Lost Creek Ranch, legal and financial services and more. Mt. Carmel also provides space for veteran-focused meetings and events, job fairs, classes, and provides professional clothing. Featured services include:
Behavioral Health and Wellness: Individual, couples, family, youth and group therapy, no-cost therapeutic retreats, equine, art & photographic therapies, trauma-focused yoga, tai-chi, and PTS-focused support. Services are confidential and open to veterans of all eras, regardless of discharge status. Specialized services:
Employment and Transition services: Through partnerships with employers, military installations, and other veteran service organizations, Mt. Carmel directly helps transitioning service members, veterans of all eras, and family members in gaining meaningful employment. In addition, Mt. Carmel has specific programs focused on military spouse careers.
Supportive Services: The section provides a hand-up to members of the veteran community in crisis. Working with national and community partners, Mt. Carmel helps people stabilize their lives and then points them to follow-on wellness and career services they may need.
