BRIEF: VIDEO: After 60 years, WWI veteran Joseph Ward receives his ceremonial military rites

July 31--After waiting 60 years to receive the proper headstone for his military service, a World War I veteran was honored with his ceremonial military rites on Friday morning.
World War I veteran Joseph Robert Ward, who just received his permanent headstone to recognize his service to the United States, was given another military honor with a gun salute, playing of "Taps" and the folding of the United States flag.
Local veteran Darwin Buus and Will Funeral Chapel organized the effort for Ward to receive ceremonial military rites at his graveside.
