BRIEF: Quilt crusade underway at Veterans Museum

April 17--Volunteers are meeting once a month to sew a Threads of Honor quilt at the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives.

The quilt will memorialize local military personnel and be displayed in the Pryor Street museum.

Quilters meet again at 9 a.m.May 21. Organizers said anyone is welcome to come by the museum and pay to have their loved one's name placed on the quilt, with prices starting at $25.

Volunteers plan to have the quilt finished in time for Veterans Day.
